Spotlight on Education: Stand For Children

On Monday, February 9 at 7 PM in the Lincoln School Auditorium, the Winchester Chapter of “Stand For Children”, jointly sponsored by the Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence (WFEE) and the Parent Interschool Council, is hosting its Winchester Education Forum: “Keeping Schools Strong in Challenging Times”.   Please feel free to attend and contribute to the discussion, which will address a variety of topics affecting our schools both at the financial and academic levels.

Stand For Children is a nationwide coalition of parents, grandparents and citizens interested in working toward  education reform.  Founded in 2003, Stand For Children has been successfully committed to effectively rallying for education reform and public funding for k-12 education.  Since its inception, Stand has resourcefully committed itself to closing corporate tax loopholes and improving the state revenue allocation.  Their mission to educate the community through forums, workshops and networking has brought increased awareness to a variety of programs, including education reforms and increased public funding.
