Peggy Sudbury
Peggy has lived in Winchester for almost forty years and she and husband Roger raised both their sons here. Peggy joined the Winchester League many years ago because she simply “likes what the League does”. Peggy is particularly grateful for our Voters Services programs. She has worked with the high school student registration program and drives people who need transportation to the polls on election day. An opera buff, Peggy’s also a violinist with the Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra (of which she is the chairperson) from Fall to Spring, and with the Harvard University summer orchestra. On top of all these activities, Peggy is an avid tennis player, sings in the Unitarian Church choir, and is a member of the Democratic Town Committee.

She recently retired as chaplain at Winchester Hospital. She remains active in the Mishawum Choral Society. Widowed for many years, Elinor was remarried a year and a half ago to John MacPhee, who was introduced to her by her in-law children. Elinor and John enjoy spending some winter vacation time in Florida. During 2008, Elinor has helped to manage son-in-law Chad Riley’s campaign for State Representative.
