  • Day on the Hill, March 4 Titled Aiming for Transparency: Restoring the Public’s Trust, the State League’s annual political program presents four panelists ,“experts in the fields of regulation, legislation, budget, and public access to information”, “whose extensive knowledge and experience should generate many questions.”
  • Day at the Races, March 15 , 2 – 5 p.m.  A public forum at Winchester High School with candidates for contested seats for  Selectmen, School Committee, Planning Board, and Library Trustees.  There’ll be an opportunity to meet your Town Meeting Members before the forum begins.

  • Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King  On January 19, Kim McLarin, author and host of WGBH TV’s Basic Black, spoke on the subject of Obama’s election and its effect on racism.
  • Two Multicultural Network Programs A Workshop, March 27 & 28,  putting the Winchester League’s diversity statement into practice and A Film, “Who Does She Think She Is?” , celebrating Women’s History Month.
