Local Winner in LWVMA 10th Annual Student Essay Contest

 

Nicholas Facciolo, a student at St Mary's School, was awarded the second prize in the 4th and 5th grade category for his online essay. Over 1500 essays were submitted in the three grade categories.

 

At the LWVMA Award Ceremony on April 5th, Nicholas read his essay from the historic podium in Faneuil Hall. We are hoping that he will read his essay at our Annual Meeting on May 27th at Sanborn House.

The essay topic for 4th and 5th grade was:

"Imagine that you were to have a 15-minute conversation with the president. What would you talk about? What topics would you ask him about and how do you think that he would respond?"
