Steering Committee’s Plans for the Year 2009 -2010
The annual planning meeting of the Steering Committee was held July 1, 2009. New members Jill Abrahamsen, Elizabeth Angelino and Maria O’Connor will join continuing members Betsy Cregger, Elizabeth Ghoniem, Susan Lewis, Jo-Ann Michalak, Judie Muggia and Marilyn Mullane. The main goals for this year include a fundraiser, a membership drive and developing a new approach to High School Voter Registration. Details include:

The fall fundraiser will be the evening of Saturday, September 12 featuring Jimmy Tingle’s political comedy show, a jazz trio and chocolate desserts. Members are encouraged to save the date and invite friends and potential new members to book tables for the event.
- A membership drive will be launched after the fundraiser in September. A community table at the September 5th Farmers Market on the Commons has been booked to publicize our membership drive and fundraiser.
- A new approach to High School voter registration is being investigated. Stoneham High School’s voter registration approach of having student organizations lead the registration is being investigated.
- Plans are still being developed for the Moveable Feast for town employees in
December, a Brainstorm Brunch in January, and a book discussion group
