Contacting your Senator and Representative

STATE AND NATIONAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS

Informing state and national government officials of your views is a vital citizen and League responsibility.  Considerate reception of your opinion is one of the services you may expect of your elected representatives when you telephone, write, or email them.  Write legibly, briefly, one issue to a letter, indicating the bill or issue and your special concern with it.  Time your letter properly to arrive before and when the issue is being discussed.
