8 Winchester Students Won Honorable Mention
in LWVMA 9th Annual Online Student Essay Contest.

Students read their Essays at the Making Democracy Work
Awards Event in Faneuil Hall, Boston, Sunday, April 13 2008

Matthew Apostolos, Ritu Kumble and Vincent Patturelli, students at
St. Mary's School; Elizabeth Keith, Allie Silverman, Michael Turner
and Marcos Valdez, students at McCall Middle School; and Priyanha
Nadanasabesan, a 10th grade student at Winchester High School,
have won Honorable Mention in the League of Women Voters’
Annual Online Student Essay Contest. The theme for this year’s
essay contest is “Making Democracy Work: Vote 2008,” focusing
on issues related to the presidential election.
